Staircase Cable Railing

Not as easy as it looks!!!! This staircase looks to be a pretty straightforward railing; however, the lines of the staircase if continued into space would create a 200+ foot circle. Therefore, the staircase needed to be created in 3 dimensions in our shop by mocking up where the posts hit the steps and then curving the top rail and pickets to the radius mentioned above. The result was pretty outstanding. 

Built staircases often vary from the spec. Steps are variable heights, walls are not plumb, etc. That’s why railings that come in a mail order kit often do not fit. At McLean Forge & Welding we measure every job to ensure a custom fit and a project that meets your expectations.
